King Jewelers Nashville Watch Spotlight: Calibre de Cartier

At this year’s SIHH 2010, Cartier released one of the finest, most masculine timepieces to ever bear the prestigious Cartier brand name: the Calibre de Cartier. Constructed in a 42mm case, the new collection is available in steel, two-tone, and 18k pink gold (featured here in steel). Imagine an IWC Portuguese Chronograph meets a Jaeger-LeCoultre sophistication with the DNA of Cartier --- the Richmoent group is truly a powerhouse of design and quality. Here are a few details and specs of what we feel to be one of the best new models to hit the watch market this year:

Highly distinctive Cartier aesthetic codes : Innovative design, snailed opalin dial, Roman numerals, rail track, sword shaped hands, heptagonal crown set with a blue cabochon... Calibre de Cartier reinterprets all the emblematic watchmaking codes of the Maison.
An extraordinary well balanced aesthetic: a powerful design with its large bezel and imposing horns, yet very comfortable to wear.
A 100 % Cartier workshop-crafted automatic movement 1904 MC: A new
movement developed, manufactured and assembled by Cartier in the great watchmaking tradition to combine: chronometry, durability and reliability. This new in-house automatic movement provides an exceptional chronometry thanks to its double barrel and its bidirectional winding system. The 1904 MC displays a Manufacture level of finishes: rotor and bridges are decorated with the traditional Côtes de Genève and stippling decoration for the bottom plate.
